The SAS Customer Intelligence suite of products offers a new feature that enables you to prevent the ability to add attachments. This capability is useful for sites concerned that attachments might potentially introduce a virus, and therefore might be a security risk.

Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue. The hot fix includes this new feature.

In order to use this feature, you need to apply the hot fix and then add the new property to the CI Studio config.xml file.

1. On the middle-tier machine, locate sas.ci.shell.war. This file is in the folder where the web application SASServer6 is installed.
2. Modify the config.xml file by adding the following line anywhere in the file but before the </Configuration> tag.
   <turnAttachmentsOff>true</turnAttachmentsOff>
3. Restart SASServer6.
